"To
every attention there lies an
action; Read all about the 'otherside'
of the class of the class of
2001. Certainly one that is
explosive!"
The
arts one graduating class was
branded the most notorious class
in the school. The class in it's
eternity was made up different
groups who were all embodied in
the class. There were about 3
major groups in the class, these
were the much talked about cash-money
group, the west-siders and
the ordinaries.
A
typical day in the class starts
when classes begin at about 7:10
am with a class which is not
more than a quarter full. The
class becomes almost empty when
breakfast draws nearer, because
the rush for the 'laddle' was
mainly considered as an
exclusive preserve for the class
even though they were the
gentlemen of the school.
The
class doesn't get more than
two-thirds full before mid-day
but gradually gets full getting
to the end of the day. The class
only got filled up when tests
were conducted, from no where
you will see ghost faces
appearing to undertake the
exams. After school the various
groups in the class sat in front
of the 'VIP
lounges' in front of Pearson
and Butler houses to discuss
matters of both personal and
class interest.
The class was
considered as a no-go area for
prefects during prep
time due to the intimidation
they received. The class was
also considered as the noisiest
class in the school, as prep
times and free periods
eventually turned out to
be mini entertainment sessions.
A single week didn't end without
the class having problems with a
teacher resulting in their
writing numerous apology
letter's to teachers.
It is worth
mentioning that this class was
the most 'technologically crazed
class' as mobile phones and
electronic gadgets were
common sights in the class. It
might interest you to know that
2 out of every 5 students in the
class had mobile phones at that
time not forgetting the various
hand held tv. sets which were
used on Fridays when prep lasted
for only an hour!
Certainly
the class of 2001 is really one
that is unrivaled.
